Yes, we are crazy.

So we are crazy. The full plate we have, appointments, travel, work, life, cooking dinner, doing bills, gardening and big hearts. Welcome a new addition to our family, Butte (not Butt).He was formally Brutus...and we did not feel this fit a Border Collie. We found him on the dog and puppy rescue website yesterday and had to go visit. We have counted that now he has had 6 homes in his 8 months of life. Most of us have not had 6 homes in our life. So we decided that Tonsina our dog needed a friend to play with while we are at all those appointments and work instead of stealing our garden shoes and eating them from the inside out. Immediately they have begun to play, run and wrestle.

And Yes we are totally nuts.

Since coming back from Seattle, we have been amazed by Elias abilities and strength. Some new developments are; walking with canes and horse therapy. We ave had permanent smiles watching in amazement as Elias navigates around obstacles with canes. At times it seems like Elias does not even need the canes to walk, taking 5 or 6 steps without even a cane touching the ground.
Elias's new horse therapy was so much fun to watch yesterday. Elias was able to practice on a pretend horse named Misty. Then came "Star" a gental giant who Elias loved sitting on. Hope you enjoy the video's and pics.

The Sun is out in Seattle

The weather since arriving in Seattle has been moderate to poor. Lots of rain and grey skies have filled our days. But we are not here for sun. We are here to watch Elias grow and become more mobile. Since arriving we believe we have found the right approach for Elias's development.Some how we would love to bring this type of therapy to Alaska. But for now we are happy to come to Seattle. We hope to come back to Esperanza this winter and summer of 2009 for another intensive therapy program. We have found Hope in Seattle.
